WOKKEL
De Wokkel is where it all began for Estranged Studio. It was the first collaboration between Boris van Vree and Manno Dragstra and became the starting point for the studio’s approach to combining structure, reflection and light.
The installation is a spiral-shaped sculpture made from mosaic mirrors, foam and spotlights. It plays with movement and distortion, reflecting its surroundings in fragmented light. What started as an experiment in form and perception evolved into a key work that shaped the direction of Estranged Studio.
